Association Of Professional Women In Construction

Donations

At APWC, we believe, to make the greatest impact, we have to provide for our community’s greatest needs. One of the ways we support our community is to partner with local non-profits who are meeting the needs of our most vulnerable populations. We ask our community partners about their biggest needs and invite our members to meet their needs to empower and equip the men and women working hard to make a difference in our community.

Currently, we partner with Treasured Vessels Foundation and Community Partners of Dallas.

Treasured Vessels Foundation (i.e., TVF) provides safe communities that restore survivors of sexual exploitation to achieve their true potential. Their organization offers an array of comprehensive services to help women heal and thrive physically and mentally.

Community Partners of Dallas is a local organization that creates a safe space for children of abuse and neglect to heal and that supports caseworkers to provide the best care for these children. They provide basic and individualized needs to restore safety and dignity, create safe environments for children to experience positive-affirming childhood experiences, and equip and encourage Child Protective Services (CPS) caseworkers.

As our partners work hard to build a strong community that support hurting children and women to help them reach their potential, we are working hard to make sure they have everything they need to live into their mission. Here are some ways we can come together to meet our partners’ greatest needs to make the greatest impact.

Stock the House

Every year, Treasured Vessels Foundation (TVF) creates an Amazon registry to help stock their organization with the supplies they need to serve the women suffering from trauma due to sexual exploitation. Purchasing one (or a few) item(s) off their list is a simple but impactful way we can empower and elevate the women in our community.

Easter Basket Drive

In the spring, we partner with Community Partners of Dallas to provide children with Easter baskets filled with books, toys, candy, and stuffed eggs during their annual Easter Basket Drive. Make a monetary donation to help all children experience the fun and joy of Easter.

Holiday Toy Drive

At our annual holiday party, we collect Christmas gifts for the children of Community Partners of Dallas. We ask every guest to please bring an unwrapped toy, book, or clothing item for children ages Birth-14 years. Your donations will help brighten a child’s holiday season this year.
