My name is Samantha Ehlert. I am a Construction Manager for a custom home builder named Starside Custom Builders. I have been in the industry for about 2 years. Prior to this, I was an engineer who worked for a defense contractor for 8 years. I have a Mechanical Engineering degree from The University of Texas at Austin (**Hook 'Em**). I made the career switch to custom home building because I love being on site daily and witnessing the construction process through every stage of building a home. I enjoy diving into the details and planning as much up front as possible. I have great working relationships with the subcontractors and I like learning their tips and tricks of their trade. I want to do a superior job so that the subcontractors can work seamlessly and ultimately create a quality home for our clients. I am passionate about what I do and eager to learn the best practices of building.
