Deidra brings a cornucopia of experience to this industry. Originally, she wanted to work for Sesame Street, so she obtained a BA in Radio, Television Film at the University of North Texas. But when graduation rolled around, she had a hard time leaving her family. Instead, the next seven years found Deidra moving her way up in the world of advertising as an Associate Producer and a Broadcast Traffic Director, teaching her the leadership skills of managing people …. attributes still used today.

Craving to be more of a role-model in her community, she put herself through night school to earn certification as a high school English teacher at the University of Texas at Dallas. For the next 15 years, Mrs. Gurn made a difference with students struggling to graduate and/or pass Texas’s rigorous state test(s). With education taking a more scripted-curriculum approach lately, Deidra found the best use of her gifts of leading people and making a difference in the community in opening Reset Decon – an extreme cleaning business that restores people homes during some of the worst times in their lives.
